BROW FAQ
What is the difference between a Brow Wax and a Brow Shaping and Design?
A Brow Wax includes a clean up and minor changes to the natural brow shape. A Brow Shaping and
Design appointment includes a full measurement of the brows, assessment of brow bone and eye
shape and a completely customized brow shape to accentuate your shape. This is a great service
for first time brow clients or any client wanting to more dramatically change their brows.
What products are used for a Brow Wax?
We use a specialized Chocolate Soft Wax to offer less irritation, more accuracy and minimal
redness.
What is the pre and post care for a Brow Wax?
It is important to stop using Retinols at least 48 hours before waxing. We use a special pre and post
treatment to minimize redness and decrease the risk of infection or breakouts. However, it is very
important to keep your face extra clean and avoid heavy sweating or heat for the first 24 hours.
What is the dif erence between a Brow Tint and a Hybrid Brow Stain?
A brow tint primarily tints the hair of the brow, with minimal tinting of the skin that will wash off in the
first few days. This is perfect for clients with full brows that just want a bit more color. The Hybrid
Brow Stain actually stains the skin for up to 10 days. This is great for any client wanting a bolder
brow for an event or day to day coverage. Brow Stains offer more customization of brow shape since
we are not limited by the hair.
What is a Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination is similar to a Lash Lift in that you are reforming the brow hairs to a new shape.
Unlike a Lash Lift where the hair is reformed back to a curl, a Brow Lamination softens the hair down
so the brow hairs lay flat and are much less unruly to comb into place. It is also a great option for
any client who has gaps or uneven brows, as we can move hairs to stay in place over any undesired
spot.
What is the aftercare for a Brow Lamination?
It is important to avoid water, heat, steam or any brow make up for the first 24 hours. After the first
day we recommend brushing the brow hairs everyday and applying a hydrating serum if you are
naturally dry. Otherwise you can treat your brows like normal.
How long does a Brow Lamination last?
A typical Brow lamination lasts around 6-8 weeks depending on aftercare, growth cycles, hair
thickness and lifestyle.
